I'm fundraising for LauraLynn by running 50 miles!

This June, I’m running 50 miles to raise funds for LauraLynn, Ireland’s only Children’s Hospice. I’m taking on this challenge for children with life-limiting conditions, and their families, and would be grateful for your support.

Your donation, big or small, will help to ensure that children and their families receive the care they need at all stages of their journey - from provision of specialist therapies, short breaks, to end-of-life care and bereavement support.

Monday 23rd Jun
Into the last week now and ready to push on and keep going with the challenge. 23 days into the month and 12 runs done, so I've managed to keep up my plan of 1 run every 2 days and I don't plan on slowing down over the next 7 days so plan on hitting 15 runs over the 30 days of June.

Since my last update, I've managed another runs. Started off with a light 5k, couldn't manage any more in that heat last week. Then followed that up with a 7k, 8k, and 9k. Making a total of 29k or 18 miles. Add that to the 36 miles I've already clocked up and it's 54 miles in total.

Half way there

Sunday 15th Jun
Just hitting the halfway mark so time for another update. 15 days in and 8 runs done. So far I've stuck to a run every other day and it's keeping me on track to easily reach my 50 miles before the end of the month.

Since my last update I've completed another 4 runs, 2x7k and 2x8ik, so that's a total of 30k or 16.5 miles.

Add that to the 18 miles from last week and tha that's a total of 36.5 miles. So we'll on track to hit the goal and add a few extra miles for good measure.

I'll update again at the end of next week for anyone who's interested.

Thanks to everyone who has sponsored me, you're all legends. The first 7 days of the challenge are now complete and I'm well on the way to hitting the 50 miles, and probably a few extra for good measure. 

The tracker on the page here isn't the most accurate, some runs have logged twice and it's also counting walks, so just thought I'd update you all here on my progress.

I've had 4 runs in the first seven days. Sunday, Tuesday and Thursday I managed 7km each and tonight I've gone a bit further with 8km. That's a total of 29km or 18 miles, so roughly about 1/3 of the way there. The plan now is to run every second day so I'll post another update here next week with my progress.
