I'm fundraising for LauraLynn by running 50 miles!

This June, I’m running 50 miles to raise funds for LauraLynn, Ireland’s only Children’s Hospice. I’m taking on this challenge for children with life-limiting conditions, and their families, and would be grateful for your support.

Your donation, big or small, will help to ensure that children and their families receive the care they need at all stages of their journey - from provision of specialist therapies, short breaks, to end-of-life care and bereavement support.

Support my challenge and help make the most of short and precious lives.

Thank you!

🎉 FINAL DAY – Run 50 Miles in June Challenge

Friday 20th Jun
✅ 5km completed indoors 📍 Final Total: 82.5km out of 80.47km (✅ Challenge Complete! We made it. Step by step, day by day!50 miles run in the name of hope, healing, and heart. Today’s final 5km brought the challenge to a close. It wasn’t on a mountain trail or a glowing sunrise path. It was indoors, humble, steady, and strong. And maybe that’s exactly how many good things end: with quiet commitment and a grateful heart.

🏃‍♂️ Day 12 – Run 50 Miles in June Challenge

Thursday 19th Jun
✅ Another 6km run completed this morning 📍 Total so far: 77.5km out of 80.47km (~96.3% complete!) Just one more run to go!

🏃‍♂️ Day 11 – Run 50 Miles in June Challenge

Tuesday 17th Jun
✅ Another 6km run completed this morning 📍 Total so far: 71.5km out of 80.47km (~88.9% complete!) “Little by little, one travels far.” — J.R.R. Tolkien Today’s run was a quiet, steady one the kind that reminds me this challenge isn’t just a race, but a pilgrimage. Each step, each drop of sweat, each morning jog is part of something bigger: a journey of gratitude, healing, and hope. With less than 9km to go, the finish line is in sight. But the real victory is in what every kilometer stands for, love in action, for the children and families supported by LauraLynn – Ireland’s Children’s Hospice.

🏃‍♂️ Day 10 – Run 50 Miles in June Challenge

Monday 16th Jun
✅ Another 6km run completed this evening. This time at Savio College 📍 Total so far: 65.5km out of 80.47km (~81% complete!) Each run is becoming more than just distance it’s memory, effort, gratitude. Running at Savio College felt especially meaningful. It’s a place tied to my Salesian heart, and today’s 6km echoed with purpose. This isn’t just about finishing miles it’s about carrying hope forward.

🏃‍♂️ Day 9 – Run 50 Miles in June Challenge

Friday 13th Jun
✅ Another 6km run completed this morning 📍 Total so far: 59.5km out of 80.47km (~74% complete!) Step by step, kilometre by kilometre we’re getting closer. Today’s run was a reminder that consistency is more powerful than speed. It’s not about chasing records every day, but showing up, even when it’s hot, humid, or harder than expected.

🏃‍♂️ Day 8 – Run 50 Miles in June Challenge

Thursday 12th Jun

✅ 6km run completed this morning

📍 Total so far: 53.5km out of 80.47km (~66.5% complete!)

Back on the road, back in rhythm.

Today’s run felt like a fresh start. The first one here in Malta, under a brighter sky and heavier humidity. (toooo warm hehe)

A new path begins! This time, Mediterranean sun instead of Irish mist, but the heart behind it stays the same.

🏃‍♂️ Day 7 – Run 50 Miles in June Challenge

Sunday 8th Jun

10km run completed this morning — my first ever 10K! 📍 Total so far: 47.45km out of 80.47km (~59% complete!)

Today’s run was more than a milestone. It was a moment of transition. As I prepare to leave Ireland tomorrow and continue this journey in Malta, today’s 10K felt like a fitting farewell: the longest run I’ve done so far, along the familiar paths that have shaped the last 8 months of transformation.

From walking just 3km in pain, to running 10km with strength and gratitude, it’s been a road of grace, growth, and grit.

This isn’t just about running. It’s about giving back — to LauraLynn – Ireland’s Children’s Hospice, to the children and families they accompany, and to all who’ve supported me in prayer, encouragement, and generosity.

Thank you for being with me. Let’s keep going.

Next stop: 🇲🇹 Malta

🏃‍♂️ Day 6 – Run 50 Miles in June Challenge

Friday 6th Jun

✅ Another 6km run completed this morning

📍 Total so far: 37.45km out of 80.47km (~46.5% complete!)

Today marks the last day of retreat. A week that’s been full of silence, prayer, good conversations, and steady movement.

As I lace up for another 6km, I carry with me not just a challenge, but a sense of peace.

This week has reminded me that running isn’t just about goals or distance, it’s a rhythm of reflection, a space where I can think, pray, and breathe. It’s a conversation between body and soul.

🏃‍♂️ Day 5 – Run 50 Miles in June Challenge

Thursday 5th Jun
✅ 6km completed this morning 📍 Total so far: 31.45km out of 80.47km (~39.1% complete!) Another 6km this morning, and as the retreat nears its end, I have been reflecting not just with my feet but with my heart. During this week we explored a powerful analogy between the lives of St John Bosco and Jesus: Both walked with the young, listened with love, and led with compassion. Showing us that holiness is not distant but lived step by step, close to the people around us. This really struck me, especially as each run has become a time of prayer, reflection, and renewal.

🏃‍♂️ Day 4 – Run 50 Miles in June Challenge

Wednesday 4th Jun
✅ 6km completed this morning 📍 Total so far: 25.45km out of 80.47km (~31.6% complete!) Today’s run felt different. I was surrounded on the track by people of all ages, each with their own pace, rhythm, and reason to run. It reminded me again that running isn’t a chore or a task, but something deeper, something spiritual. A way to be present, to breathe, to listen, to move forward in more ways than one. 🏅 And fittingly, today is Global Running Day. A day where people all over the world take a step (or many!) to celebrate the joy and benefit of running. Whether it’s a solo jog or a community run, it’s a reminder of how powerful movement can be for the body, mind, and soul.

🏃‍♂️ Day 3 – Run 50 Miles in June Challenge

Tuesday 3rd Jun
✅ 6km run this morning 📍 Total so far: 19.45km out of 80.47km (~24.2% complete!) This week I am on retreat in Limerick. A space of quiet, prayer, and reflection. Running has become more than just exercise; it’s part of my daily rhythm, a form of meditation where each step helps me stay rooted in gratitude, presence, and purpose. During this week I carry with me the mission of LauraLynn – Ireland’s Children’s Hospice, and every kilometre is a reminder of the strength and love that surrounds their work.

🏃‍♂️ Day 2 – Run 50 Miles in June Challenge

Monday 2nd Jun
✅ 6km run this morning ⏱️ Pace: 6:28/km That brings the total so far to 13.45km out of 80.47km about 16.7% complete! :)

So it Begins! 🏃‍♂️ Day 1 – Run 50 Miles in June Challenge

It’s Time to Give Back

Wednesday 14th May

This June, I’ve decided to take on a challenge that’s close to my heart. Throughout the month of June, I’ll be running a total of 50 miles, step by step, in support of LauraLynn Ireland’s only Children’s Hospice.

Over the past months, I’ve been blessed with better health, renewed energy, and a deeper sense of purpose. And now, I feel called to give thanks by giving back.

LauraLynn provides specialist palliative and supportive care free of charge  to children with life-limiting conditions and their families. Their work is gentle, heroic, and full of love.

By joining this fundraiser and running throughout June, I hope to help them continue their mission: bringing comfort, dignity, and joy to children and those who care for them.

🙏 If you feel moved to help, please consider a donation, a prayer, or even just a share.

Together, step by step, we can make a real difference.
