This November, I’m taking part in the November Press Up challenge to raise funds for LauraLynn, Ireland’s only Children’s Hospice. I’m taking on this challenge for children with life-limiting conditions, and their families, and would be grateful for your support.

6,000 Push-Ups for LauraLynn — Giving Back from the Heart
Monday 20th OctThis November , I’m taking on a challenge: 6,000 push-ups in 30 days — all to raise funds for LauraLynn Children’s Hospice.
A few years ago, when my daughter was in hospital fighting for her life, I spent long nights by her bedside. I couldn’t help her. I couldn’t take her pain away. I wasn’t eating well, I wasn’t sleeping — I just felt completely helpless.
So, I started doing push-ups.
Quietly, in the corner of her hospital room, while she slept.
It sounds strange, but it was all I could do — something physical, something grounding — a way to release the fear and stay sane. Those push-ups got me through some of the darkest moments of my life.
During that time, a charitable donation helped our family when we needed it most. That kindness stuck with me. I’ve always wanted to find a way to give back — and this is it.

LauraLynn is Ireland’s only children’s hospice. They care for children with life-limiting conditions and support the families who love them. What they do is incredible — they bring light and compassion to families during their hardest times.
This fundraiser is my small way of saying thank you — to give back to an organisation that helps families like mine when they have nowhere else to turn.
💪 The Challenge
6,000 push-ups in 30 days — that’s 200 push-ups a day.
Some days will be easy, most won’t. But the point isn’t perfection — it’s to show up, keep going, and turn that old feeling of helplessness into something that helps others.
